Can Anyone identify the decoration and origin of this small pottery jug?

    This small vessel is brown clay with cream coloured slip front and back with a distinctive hand done incised design down to the brown. The green splotches don't help the design. It is 4.75" high with a looped handle over the top. Can anyone identify where this might have come from and whether it has any particular function. It is heavily crazed.

    Looks like a folk art piece -- redware in the States. Forget what the English call it. Just WAG-ing here, but maybe eastern European -- Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, etc. Dunno really, but it's cute.
