Can anyone identify this for me?

    Hi, Does anyone know what this may be or what it's from?
    It's brass and weighs approx 800 grams.
    It's got 12 holes in it. It's approx inches across

    Looks like the inner ring of a bearing for something mechanical. It would have had ball bearings in all the holes.

    I'm with 2manybooks, looks like it belong to a large piece of machinery. Now it's a nice paper weight.
