Can anyone make out signature?

This was in a box of photos & knick knacks that had been my mom's & that my sister gave me 2 days ago (along with some of her jewelry, old toys, etc).

I don't know if it's just something a friend did & gave her as a joke or if it was drawn & given to her by someone well known?
but I can't make out any part of the signature to tell either way.

I don't recognize the signature, the first letter of the last name looks like an E. I would not dismiss the drawing, it is not uncommon for artists to doodle on things like napkins. I would try to find out if you mom was in any social circles where she could have met an artist. I have a similar type of drawing that was done on a paper plate, have never figured out that signature.

My mom just passed last thanksgiving so I can't ask her, but when she was married to my dad (60's - 70's) he was what was known as a a whale at the craps table & the casinos in Vegas were always flying them out - he became friends with Sammy Davis, Frank Sinatra & others while there (he has a photo of Sammy holding me as a baby backstage before a show & family lore said Sammy wore a gold necklace my dad got him one Christmas on the Johnny Carson show!) So my mom may well have met artists - the casinos wanted to keep her happy so my dad would keep shooting craps and could have introduced her to artists while in vegas - which is why I'm hoping someone will recognize the name!

Not sure - I was a baby to a toddler - I don't remember!

 

Looks like a dot over the last letter. Maybe the last name ended in an "i" ?
