Can anyone read the signature on these pencil drawings?

I am helping out a friend with these penciled pictures of birds. Looks like the first part is L. Charles but can't figure out the last name. She said he was a Chicago artist from the 1980's. I did a google search but did not turn up a match. Thanks for any help or direction to look.

These are prints/etchings. I see Breurch. I am not finding an artist with that name.

Thanks Brad. I tried Breurch, Breunich and Breurich but didn't find anything either, except obituaries. You are all so good here at deciphering signatures I am hoping the right one will be found.

I see at the bottom of the Peregrin etching there is a printed name. Can we get a better picture of it? Looks like it might end in wick.

They look like etchings to me. The peregrine is signed on the plate, which may be more legible than the pencil siggy. Looks like Charles Brewick to me.

Sorry, I don't have any other pictures. This was all she gave me.

Is that an "L" in front of his first name?

Oops ... I see you saw the "L". Last name looks like there might be a "w" in it - Brewich? Could be well-done student work.

Not often, but I've seen it happen. More often, students start numbering with test runs as A/P and then move into a higher number, such as 4/100. Yes, even if they only plan to make 4, the strategy behind it is - they can keep the plate and print more. I may have done that if my plates hadn't been stolen decades ago. And yet, I've never seen a print pulled from one of my stolen plates. No idea, they were zinc, not copper.

There's an L. Charles Brewick in La Grange Park, IL, (30yo in 1981) but no info regarding art on the sites where he's mentioned

Agreed. Limited Edition just means stopping at 100, not that 100 were made. Younger artists are often aspirational.
