Can anyone read this?

I can't read this signature, can anyone else? My mum got 2 ornaments, they look handmade.



If you can't read it, can you recongnise the pieces?

I think they're Italian pottery figurines.
Any marks or labels on the bottom?

I think there are some with this signature in the archived threads here on the board. I'll do a search.

 

I just messed with the signatures a bit:

 

There is nothing on the bottom at all, it's hollow.

Not a problem, Lady Li! I was doing it anyway, just to see if I could read them. (I couldn't...)

 

I think the last word is Caltagirone which is a place in Sicily that I think does make this type of pottery.

I know nothing about these things, does this mean they were made by a factory then? Or did a person make them?
