    I’m sure this is obvious to most people on here but today is the day I’m just gonna ask about the few things floating around that I know I could figure out with enough tune and energy...
    And I’m just gonna ask instead.

    What’s the story with this piece? Belongs to my sister in law, she doesn’t have many details. It came from relatives in VT.

    I appreciate any help!

    Does appear meant to keep a coin or token always at hand, but maybe not originally designed for American money?
