Can anyone tell me what this is?

    I know it is cowhide. I’m assuming some sort of hat seems to have had some strap for chin at some point because of holes on either side. Also something on top possibly.     looks like a yak hat from.......where yaks are from....:wideyed:

    can u put it on a stand so we can see what it looks like when being worn..?
