Can someone figure out this autograph (or recognize?:) Small Orientalist-style painting

Hi all! I’m back to ask for help, hoping that someone can provide info

I have this small work; orientalists-style, vivid red. I really can’t make out the autograph. Never bothered me. But, I’ve had so much great help on this forum, I thought: why not give it a try?


Size:Total:40/28cm- Image: 30/19cm

(As you can see, the back gives no clues.) I’ve seen it done much better, by some of you; I’ve tried to show the signature in different light. I would be keen to know, who made this painting. All info is welcome.

It doesn't look Asian to me. but then I can not see the picture closely. It looks more like a nomadic family on a desert.

 

Think he did paintings of Syria as well as still life etc

Some of the figures look a bit Lowry ish

 

Invaluable is spelling his name as Michel Kerche but sig looks the same as the others. Sotheby’s sold some paintings but I can’t see for how much.

It's a nice example of his work and the frame is just perfect. Someone appreciated it for what it was.
