    Hi everyone!

I recently purchased this pitcher (or what I'm assuming is a pitcher) at a thrift store but I do not recognize the mark on the bottom. The bottom does have a bit of wear & tear & the mark is only partially visible.

Any help would be greatly appreciate!

    Thank you!!

    Just throwing out a guess

    Scandinavian pewter?

    Or Italian pewter.

It's more of a carafe than a plain "pitcher" with that lid.

Them's is Greek letters. It's the shape of a middle eastern coffee pot - also Greek or Turksih.

Looks to me like it reads 'FINO', would guess a pewter jug from Spain, Portugal, or Italy...

Don't think it's any of those with that shape, Cheryl. It's definitely a middle eastern coffee pot shape.

Thanks to everyone who has responded!Cheryl, it does look pretty similar to the pic you provided. I'm assuming it's more along the lines of an Italian coffee pot. Again, thanks everyone!

It is absolutely not an Italian coffee pot. It's Middle eastern - the closest specific shape is Armenian.

Again, thank you for the responses! I was wondering (if it's even possible) if anyone can give me a time period from when this may have been made?

    Thanks!! :)
