komokwa The Truth is out there...!

this isn't a site to get values, and most won't click on a link from someone we haven't met...
    BUT...
if you can provide a clear photo, members here would be glad to help pointing you in the right direction to identify the piece and get a fair market value..

    ;):):):):):)

Hi, I tried posting the pic directly but it keeps saying the file size is too big.

If it is on a phone, you can email the file to yourself using Medium size, Save the resized picture and then upload to here.

There has been damage to the back that is going to negatively impact comfort and attractiveness. That will also negatively impact value. I'm not sure how much.

I'll tag two of the furniture guys to see what they say.

Looks like a child's rocker with Tell City's trademark country porch rocker shape. The stenciling seems to be based on that applied to the company's 3 oversized rockers (2 remain), which were locally famous and produced in 1958.

Guessing that this rocker was produced post 1958. Looks more like a gimmick or souvenir piece than one that was meant to be used. Probably worth around $100 or so, but much less with damage.

The company went out of business in the 1990s.

What do you make of the places in the construction of the back where the wooden pieces are not lined up properly @Ghopper1924 ?

Makes it look like a factory second. Value would be even less.

great info , thanks! We paid $100 at a high end consignment shop. Guess we probably overpaid but it’s a beautiful piece.

Hi, what product do you recommend to add some shine/polish to it?

Hard to tell, since it's stained black. Perhaps pine if it's from the 60s
