Featured Can you help me identify the brooch?

Dear experts, I would love your help in identifying this piece!

I recently found this interesting item and would really like to learn more about it. The metal is white, does not attract a magnet, and leaves chalk-like marks, so it might be silver, but there are no hallmarks. The stones include a black one (possibly onyx or glass) and red ones that resemble garnets or garnet-like glass.

The design is highly geometric, reminiscent of Art Deco or the 1950s–1960s. However, I’m unsure if this is a brooch, a tie clip, or perhaps even a stage accessory.

Does anyone have any thoughts on the period, possible maker, or intended use of this piece? I would really appreciate any insights!
    Thank you ❤️

I bought it secondhand on the Internet (TikTok). It's both a brooch and a pendant, an interesting piece of jewelry

Won't do the fabric of a dress any good. Looks more like a fur clip.

Lots of white metals do not attract a magnet, you will have to have it tested to find out if it's silver.

JMHO, it looks artisan made, could be any kind of metal.

I agree with fur or coat clip. I see a "human" figure in the brass elements with the black part being a head. Maybe I'm dreaming...Have you done an image search?

I also see a stylized human figure

That's almost too Art Deco to be really from the era. Wonder if it's not 1970s revival. Anyone have thoughts? And meant to be worn on a chubby.

I agree, I don't think vintage art deco. I think an artisan piece from the 1980s or so.

Is that a mark on the left side pin?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

My eyes may be trying to see some printing that's possibly NOT there, but on the right side of the front, in particular, it does look like some "thin/fine" writing......at the two arrows area.....will that piece clean up to maybe show possible markings????

The 1940s version worn by Joan Crawford in 'Mildred Pierce' and the 1970s version revived by YSL for his 'Scandal Collection.'
