its hard to make out the first mark. I the it’s a lotus flower in the middle and a ..V in the last box. I’m thinking it’s 900 silver?
Any help is very much appreciated.

    It's an 800 mark, not 900.

The letter for 1992 is the same as the one for 1943-44, which I suspect is likelier.

I thought it would be 1992, as the site says:
In October 1946, the silver mark was changed to the "lotus flower blossom"

Good points, both. I used to be more on top of this. Wrote a good guide to Egyptian marks for eBay, back when they solicited such things. Then they up & killed them all, in favor of more buying guide type things.

When it comes to the zeroes (dots) in fineness marks, I have seen variations, including a dot between the 'legs' of the lambda shape of an 8 and piled one on top of the other, like a colon mark : .

Did they censor free reference info so that they could monetize 'Price Guides' ?
PS-How wealthy do these new Tech Gods need to become ?

MrNate doesn't concern himself much with silver marks, it is all about the metal, not the marks so he doesn't know that many. I believe he said that before when you tagged him in another thread.

Cheryl, Bronwen, kyra, Dessert and I are more interested in marks, and we recognize more. Cheryl especially. And until recently Bakersgma of course.:(
I think I can speak for all of us that marks are more important to us than for MrNate because we are more interested in the cultural world behind silver or gold.

AJ-I just wanted Mr Nate's aesthetic feedback on the piece and not any scholarly or curatorial or historic insights.
Hope I didn't rub anyone the wrong way by mentioning Mr Nate-didn't mean to demean anyone elses expertise.
