Made of something like nickel. Any information about age, etc is helpful. They don’t seem to be selling. Your thoughts?

There’s a bit about them on sterlingflatwarefashions.com sorry I can’t link from this iPad. Says the company were in business 1840-50 in Oakville CT.
There were some for sale via Worthpoint which shows a similar set of 6 and it says they are coin silver. I don’t have an account which tells you how much they went for though.

There’s also a bit about the company in the New York Directory 1847 saying they made brass butts, German silver and silver plated spoons!! ??

If they don't tarnish, they're probably "german silver" (which we all know is not from Germany and is an alloy which contains no silver.)

German silver is a copper alloy with nickel, sometimes zinc too. So it is 'something like nickel'. It is also called nickel silver.

I link from mine almost daily, not sure why, I’m pretty sure you and I both use Safari browser. Safari doesn’t display the entire url of the particular page, but if you tap the address bar, then the detailed url displays, and you just highlight and copy it.

    Thanks Springfield,
I just found out I DO use Safari, I didn’t know what the little clock compass thing was. It is that bad, really. I do send on pages of interest to my email contacts, I just haven’t figured out how to do it here on the board.
I’ll have a tinker about and hope it works. I’ve not actually copied anything yet, I thought that was just for printing purposes, I’ve only just in the last month acquired a printer so I’m figuring that out, slowly. I’m just not any sort of techie and steer clear of things I think I will mess up.
