Can you tell me anything about this pewter (?) brooch with lady?

Hi all. This was amongst an auction lot I picked up today. Can you tell me anything about it? It was very dirty, once cleaned up I found the word "Bouix" on the left (I think that's what is says) and the initials "AP" on the right. It has designs on both sides. Not testing as silver so my guess is pewter. It is 1.75" from top to bottom on circular dangle. Thanks!!

Apparently Français Bouix was a well known engraver, about whom little is known. He produced lots of religious medals in conjunction with Adolphe Penin (AP) whose dates are 1888-1985. They don't seem to have a great deal of value, perhaps because they're not made of precious metal.

Saint Cecilia was the organ player. Patroness of musicians. Design appears to be taken from Carlos Dolci painting.

Great info thank you! I'm wondering what age this one could be?

The bar looks Art Nouveau to my eye. Wonder if it wasn't a music award. (Think the flora is laurel leaves and berries.)

Music award, what a nice bit of social history :). Thanks both of you!

I suspect that the two elements are a marriage. A general "award" bar to which a more specific medal was added.

We had her as a cameo just last month: https://www.antiquers.com/threads/cameos-show-tell-or-ask-answer.23493/page-239#post-3988235

The reverse of the medal also refers to St. Cecilia, not directly to a music award: the harp & flute, Cecilia is sometimes shown with other instruments or even a group of them; a music scroll unfurled; a lily, one of her attributes, you can see in the foreground of the Dolci painting; the palm branch that indicates a martyr.
