Canadian $5 bill autographed

    Anyone read these sigs,the only famous Canadians I know are Anderson and Dion:D
    I see the date 1980 twice, Meo., I can't read the rest.
    Anyone famous ?

    In the US there was a craze for signing a $1 bill and putting it back in circulation. It was interesting to see them in your change. I wonder if that was what happened to this one.

    I first thought that said "Yount homer" and to the right, "Roy 1980" but can't make the second word say "homer" -- Did Robin Yount hit a home run during a game between the Milwaukee Brewers and Toronto Blue Jays?

    This is totally fanciful speculation. I almost never engage in that. My only excuse is that it's early morning and I didn't sleep well last night. :)

    I doubt it was the "Name signing craze" If it was, why would you sign the year as 1980? (That predates the Bill itself)

    Okay here is another crazy theory. :wacky::wacky::wacky:

    In 1980 "Me" lost a bet to "Ivomay?" & he owed him $141,998.00. They signed this bill as an IOU & the other signatures are the people sitting next to them. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::p:p:p

    Obviously post-dated. At this point I'm not sure the writing contains signatures... maybe though.

    ... Six years later Ivomay found Me in a bar and wanted to cash in his bet. Me explained that he didn't have the money to pay Ivomay but wanted to honor his bet. Me stated that as an agreement of payment he would write an IOU on this new five dollar bill. Ivomay wanted a little more proof of the money he was owed and asked two other people to sign as witnesses to the event that happened in 1980. As added security they also signed another five dollar bill so that they could each have a copy. Dave has this one so where is the other?

    ... Dun, dun, duuuuuuun ... :eek: ... :D:rolleyes:
