Candle holder?

    I thought this was kind of cool. I know it's not old. Has a neat modern look with a meditating embossed mold of a Asian? Man. Is that what this is a candle holder? Thanks for any info.

    I wonder if you put a tea candle in there if the figure shines thru,like a lithopane.

    I think it may be a bookend. Not sure about putting a candle... for safety.
