Carnival glass? This gal knows very little about glass!

I don't usually venture into glass but I thought this was quite pretty. It is clear with amber color running through it. Under the felt, the base appears to be ground down. Do you think it's carnival glass? Vintage? Any insight appreciated, I find glass difficult to assess! Thank you :shy:

That site is brilliant. I'd not call this carnival. Can you a) get the felt off and b) get a photo against a plain background please?

Interestingly, I have been reading up on Murano on a few websites and this one has some good tips for finding genuine glass:

How to identify Murano Glass | Everything About Venice and Murano Glass (glassofvenice.com)

The Worthpoint link above actually has the “Vetro Eseguito Secondo La Tecnica Dei Maestri Di Murano” sticker that translates as GLASS MADE ACCORDING TO THE MURANO MASTERS TECHNIQUE MADE IN ITALY. They are not in fact genuine Murano. Mine didn't have a sticker so more investigation needed to see if mine is actually Murano or in-the-style of. I would also be curious to know when it dates from!
