Could this have any value? I haven't found anything similar to it online and it has no marks. It measures 2 1/4" h x 1 5/8" w x 3/16" d. It is cool to the touch and is not plastic. Could it be jade or nephrite? Any help appreciated! Thanks. carvedjadebead1.JPG carvedjadebead2.JPG

I can't say if it is jade or not. I look for variability in color as an indicator, and this does not have any. It does look carved to me at least, which I think would mean stone versus glass.

I agree, carved stone, with the double happiness symbol (marriage). Difficult to say which stone. It is also difficult to see which colour it is.

It is very pale green in color, no variation and yes, it does look like it was carved with an electric tool. I'm glad to know it's meaning! Thanks, everyone!

Doesn't seem old, not enough definition to the carving... old hand carved pieces are more harmonious and have smooth holes IMHO.
    Pretty symbolism!:)

It "smells" like fairly modern serpentine to me; that's what these generally are. I'd have to have it in hand and take a loupe to it to be certain. Hang it on a black cord "chain" and it's ready to roll, unless you have a celery green multi-ribbon one handy.

    OK...so it wasn't hand carved...........is that better !

It's not the equipment that's being used to produce an object,it is the person who actually does the work. It doesn't appear to be carved by a CNC machine, but by someone using a variety of tools holding the piece with their hands.

I don’t know the term CNC, and are the variety of tools you talk about electrical powered?
One can carve a stone with a Dremmel, held in hand:)
