    Agree rose quartz. Some time in the last 20 -40 years with those gold tone beads.

    If it's older, those might be real gold. It's definitely rose quartz. It's likely dyed or enhanced, but most of it is these days. If it has a purplish cast, that's a dead giveaway.

    Very nice necklace, Tricia, love that quirky elephant. I agree, rose quartz, and it looks natural to me.

    The necklace is almost certainly Chinese; they made a bunch of similar ones in the second half of the 1980s and later.
