    Almost 6" tall, the base is 2 3/8" x 1 5/8"; 2 1/4 oz.

This is another piece that is so very finely done, of a wood that has only barely discernible grain, that at first (an' second!) glance, it looks cast from some composite. He is a remarkably sweet caricature of a happy, untroubled youth. Note the upturned great toes! I love him!

When, an' where, was he made? I'll guess Germany...but he could be from any of the Scandinavian countries. His dress an' haircut seem to put him easily pre-war; but my ignorance is great here.
    Thanks for lookin'!

He is Anri, named "Hans Bliss" by Hafner

The older I get, the more I smile...especially at kids an' dogs, and things like this.

My first reaction was Anri as well. He would be good to set next to your alarm clock to start your day with a smile.

When I'm walking, babies and dogs get my attention. Fortunately, as a senior and grandmother, no one gets too excited when I approach for a baby's smile or a dog's sniff, LOL!

    Makes me smile too.
Is this the same Anri that made those mechanical bottle stoppers?

I'm wholly without clue, pearls...yesterday was the first time I heard about Anri...
