Carved Statue - Asian marking on base

    My only guess is a Chinese soapstone vase of some sort

    Soapstone? Why do you think that? I haven't seen soapstone in this color, but nothing surprises me when it comes to rocks.

    Resin. Look just above dark base.

    I don't think it is modern resin.
    I think it is 1950s - 60s hard plastic.

    Jamo, if it were actually soapstone, it would be cold when placed against your face. Plastic or resin won't be cold to the touch.

    I agree, ca 1960s resin, from a mold.

    Thanks all! Yes, admittedly, I have no clue with certain things. I buy storage lockers, some of the stuff is left field to me. Once again, you guys have pointed me in the right direction. Thanks again
