Featured Cased Glass Vase with Draped Effect - Japan? Italy?

    Hello everyone! I'm stumped on this one. I've seen lots of vases this shape but never one with a draped effect. Does it look familiar to anyone? Stands about 4 3/4" tall. Nicely finished bottom. Very heavy. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

    With the thick clear glass base, and the bright yellow my first thought was China.
    I could be wrong.

    Are the Chinese polishing the bottoms now? Usually the bases are rough.

    Is it a polished bottom? I didn't think it had a pontil.
    As I said, I could be wrong.

    There's some lovely glass coming from China now, much of it with proper fire polished bases. This does look Chinese.
