Cast Iron Eagle by Shawnee Casting Inc. USA

    Hi friends,

    I found this for $8; I figured I couldn't go wrong at that price.

    So far I haven't found anything about it or the company.

    Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies.

    There's a Shawnee aluminum eagle on eBay right now for $32.95-not same pose as yrs though.

    Why do you think yours is made of cast iron? How much does it weigh?

    According to the Ohio Secretary of State Business Search, Shawnee Casting Inc. filed as a corporation with the state of Ohio on May 16, 1972. The company was dissolved in August 2010 (filed in September 2010). The company address was in South Salem, Ross County, Ohio.

    It's not showing magnetism with a weak fridge magnet, so maybe it is made of cast aluminum.

    Still haven't found an exact cast like it, so stumped on value. I'm assuming the paint on mine is original.
