Cast Iron Enamel Doorknocker Rooster Figural

The other examples said they were Hubley. I would like to know more about this piece. Maker? Age? It is heavy and has what might be the original price in pencil on back of 1.65. Any help appreciated.     I highly doubt that the original price was written on the back in pencil.....without even a dollar sign.
