I found these at local thrift store Friday. I thought they were Hubley but googling shows the Hubley Popeye has a stamp/mark on his back.
I can't find any markings on either - anyone recognize these? (also their faces seem a little different from other ones I've found so far- almost a straw color - with freckles!)
    + they are heavy!
Thanks all; I appreciate any help.

I always like cast iron figures as I was a pattern maker and foundry consultant for 30+ years. Door stops?

On the bottom of olive I see what looks like letters or numbers at the 5 o’clock posistion in the last picture.

You are right about that. There are really quite a lot of these on google. Hard to compare going screen to screen.

The Hubley solid cast iron are referred to as paperweights on some ads. So far haven’t seen any other makers.
I think bdigger is right about a mark. I think it says U.S.
Maybe see if you can read it.
Here are some toy maker logos, if you can make out anything.
