Cavalier painting? No signature or date

    [​IMG] I found this painting in my attic but I found that it looks a lot similar to “a merry violinist holding a roemer” by Gerrit van Honthorst through some research. There is not a signature or date on it that I can see. I don’t know anything much about it and I don’t know whether it’s just a copy of the painting or not but it looks very old and isn’t in good condition. The paint is chipping away and the frame is falling off. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks
