    I am almost sure that this is recent piece but find it hard to read the writings on the bottom. Is that English?

    I was thinking the piece could be from Thailand but was not sure if those are Thai characters.

    It's something that doesn't use the Latin alphabet, whatever it is. I don't think it's Thai. One of the Indian dialects maybe? Lao?
