Me again! This was full of small wooden spools of thread when I purchased it. That doesn't seem logical but I don't know what else it would hold, wayyy too small for poker chips! 4" tall with the little finial, 3¼" diameter, each slot is 1" in diameter. Coins? Tokens? If there's been one of these brought here before, I either missed it or have forgotten it.

As always, your help is greatly appreciated!

Hmmm. I haven't played poker in forever. Maybe something else makes more sense.

Yep. Universally recognized as "spool caddy."

I used to sew, just never saw one like this until I bought it and figured that couldn't be what it was for! Thank you, one and all!

    Yiss, perzactly!
That is cute and really looks right! I will probably list it with more than one identifier. Looks like many people would recognize it as a thread spool caddy and others a game token holder. I keep on learning here! Now if I could just remember it all.............:shame::shame::shame:!

I was going to say bakelite chip holder perhaps (poker, backgammon). They come in a few different sizes and thicknesses and sell very well especially the marbled looking bakelite. The chips sell much better than the holders though. I sold one set in auction (these chips are super popular in Saudi Arabia) and the winner said don't bother with the holder, just send him the chips. I sold the holder to someone else for much less.

I see this...... , and it's a neat idea....but I don't see that it was made for this purpose..
    AND...
I have both of Moms sewing boxes......there are many spools.....and this thing has no room for them all...or all the sizes.....or needle and thread....tape measure, scissors....ect...ect.....
