Chain Stitch? Area Rug

    This rug is about 29 x 40 inches. I got it at an estate sale about 20 years ago. I know nothing about rugs, and have been googling. I believe it is chain stitch? Has a vintage feel, but WDIK. There is a repair near the center - see last photo.
    So, age, hand or machine made, country of origin, anything more than decorative value?
    Also, proper search terms so I can find similar to get a price idea?

    I think they were making similar things in India, Kashmir perhaps. Someone else will probably know better.

    I've seen these. They look like antique hooked rugs. I'm thinking 1930s until now.
