    Not exactly furniture ..furnishings?

Chalkware lamp, $2.99. Needs some restoration, but figured the textured lucite pull cord was worth at least $3. The lamp design is pretty cool, a woman's face at the top. I wish it was in better shape. Someone seems to even have scratched an initial "K" into the body. Not really scuffed plaster (except one spot) just paint has sort of fallen off in chips. Might be a lost cause unless I could just spray paint the whole thing.

No signature whatsoever, has anyone seen similar? In general I stay away from these chalkware lamps because they are so fragile, but this had a design I hadn't seen. I also wondered if the light socket was original, it seems that the long lucite pull would just rub paint off the hair section in no time at all.

    Thanks for taking a look.

Janetpjohn, incredible! Positively the same lamp. Cannot believe you found that! Wonderful research skills. Thank you. :)

With your helpful search words, I am seeing a few others online saying "attributed to Frederic Weinberg". There is a male counterpart to this, positively the same.

There is an Ebay auction with a set for $850, but has what looks to me almost like an alteration unless it is a different version. Metal tube runs up the back and is sort of built into the base. With mine and others, the metal comes straight out of the head. This is the auction you mentioned that says they are "signed Reina" although no photo shows a signature. Unless it is a different version or something.

Mine is in somewhat rough shape, maybe was repainted once already -- I'm sure value is minimal, but these do seem to have a following, so I'll have to think about what to do next...

    Thank you!

I didn't even notice the difference in the metal part! I do wish they had shown the mark. Looking for more Reinas didn't pan out.

My mother had this same lamp in the 1950s. I’ve always loved it. By any chance do you stilll have it? I’m thinking I might be able to try and restore it? .
