Charcoal? pastels landscapedrawing critique and questions.

    my first thought was watercolor, but when i took it out of the frame i could tell it was colored charcoal or something. very dry and color comes off when touched. it is unsigned. 19 1/2" x 8" Any thoughts or comments welcomed.

    I would recommend not to keep it without glass for a long time.

    Thanks April. It is back in the frame behind glass.
    This kind of has a Hudson riverish look to it.

    Looks like a William H Chandler pastel, not all are signed and he didn’t paint all that are signed Chandler. There were others who were as prolific and maybe even worked for Chandler but the names escape me at the moment.
