Featured Charity Shop & Car Boot Finds

Found some interesting bits (of scrap as my OH likes to joke )in the last few days.

Lovely Uranium glass foiled beads

Once lovely foiled beads, sadly most damaged but some saveable and the links are useful so for £2 they came home.

Pearls minus a clasp. It always makes my nose twitch when a clasp was good enough to be cut off. These are real pearls, albeit possibly not high quality as a few have the nacre damaged and it’s very thin!

Lovely glass beads on a nasty modern necklace so they will be repurposed.

Avon Owl ( I know but it’s cute)
Butler & Wilson elephant and cute owl dress clip. Think he’s quite old.

Pleased with these, they caught my eye as they really reflect/refract the light and they are rock crystal, held together with silver wires.

Agate button, laborodite earrings, silver swallow brooch and iris glass brooch.

Sadly only half a cut steel buckle (age?) A slightly unusual necklace and my very favourite, a fat bellied fish brooch!
And lastly, a nice find, Teka sapphire earrings.

Nice haul! Too bad the rock crystal is drilled and not Pools of Light. Or not. I don't have to feel jealous of these.

 

I've got that Avon owl somewhere. Swallow is Edwardian.

 

Sadly not. I’m building up to finding one of those!
I can see why they call them pools of light as I could see it was different to glass straight away.

It's so typical of that slightly later sentimental jewellery.
