Featured Chicago and Las Vegas Bookstore Recommendations

Discussion in 'Books' started by Dave Whaling Books, Mar 12, 2019.

  1. End of March I will be in Chicago and next month Las Vegas. What antiquarian bookstores are must visits? I am especially interested in Americana and early sea stores. Many thanks for any and all suggestions!

The Abraham Lincoln Book Shop in Chicago deals in some Americana, I think. I have never visited there but it might be worthwhile. They have been around since 1938.

Wow -- great links! Makes me want to spend a few days in Chicago just going to bookstores. I visit the Chicago area often (and am nearby right now). But when I go into the city I tend to either go to art museums or visit friends.

I notice that nobody has posted any info about Las Vegas stores. I hope you get some recommendations there, too. (I'm not familiar with Vegas...)
