Had this online a few times but no takers. I'm hoping someone will confirm or refute my assigning this as a Republic Period Buddhist Bowl with auspicious symbols. BTW, it rings like a bell when lightly flicked. Thanks!

I do not think this bowl is from the 1930s/40s or earlier.
To me it looks fairly recent.

I agree with the others... Is it me or is the vase off center? Imari style with famille rose colors...odd..red made in China stamp screams 1970's.

This mark used between 60s and mid 90s. N is factory mark.

The mark is probably from around the 1950's

I truly appreciate your comment, Vee, as well as everyone else's opinions. As much as I'd like for it to be a 50s mark, though, it seems the same site (Gotheborg) lists it as a Zhongguo Jingdezhen 1980s mark (see # 581 on http://www.gotheborg.com/marks/20thcenturychina.shtml). I need help's link shows that the same was pointed out about a similarly marked piece by antiquers member, Ladybranch. Granted, Gotheborg did say that the mark is "unlikely to be much older than the 1980s," which leaves room for earlier pieces. I'd love to know just when said N mark was first employed.
