Chinese Brass Urn-Large Censor??..Signed-Age..Character I.D.Help???

    I think maybe a modern censerdesigned scientifically. Bottom is unusual, looks like an annular air intake? Modern-ness judgment based on Phillips screw used to hold handle on, plus what appears to be black synthetic material under lower end of handle.

    Thanks Springfield...There is no air intake or synthetic material & handle is not attached by phillips screws??...Picture shows handle attachment on inside & I was able to separate the base. IMG_2017.JPG IMG_2016.JPG

    Thx, must be illusions. What’s the black square under the handle? Above and to left of that is a black circle that looks like a Phillips screw head; what’s that?

    Yes...It is an illusion...I does look like it in the bottom picture..Just a dark spot/shadow

    Two marks near top look like real Asian characters, but glyphs near bottom? No idea. Where’s our favorite translator xx884?

    Cannot see very clear. But from what I saw, it is Japanese. Possibly japan occupied Taiwan production.

    A sake pot or wine pot for barmaid used in bars? I don't know.... never seen such kind of brass pot used in japan.
