Chinese enamel bowls?

    Gotheborg.com indicates that their research shows that the CHINA mark was used from the early 1900s until the 60s - 70s despite the "common wisdom" that use on imports to the US ended in the 1920s.

    The earliest you tend to see this type of mark is around the 1920's, but it is much more commonly found on post war items. The use seems to fade out in the 60's or 70's but there are bound to be anomalies as well. The look of the bowls suggests they are probably post war.

    I guess technically they are, but given the late period you wouldn't usually refer to them this way.

    I think 'enamelled with peonies in famille rose palette' would be perfectly fair and accurate and would garner more views (in addition to your currently proposed text).
