Preliminary pictures as I am struggling to get the last bits of hardware out. Yellow lamp/vase. The inner rim and neck are glazed but lower is white unglazed porcelain. Is this a newer piece? Should I stop struggling with this hardware? Was inexpensive.

Looks to me like it was originally intended as a lamp base (and not that old), which may explain why it is so hard to get all the hardware out.

Yes, agree with Bakersgma, the yellow glaze is in the original hole in the base.
