    Good day
I found this in at a Market today. It is a stone carving of a dog. I think it may be of neprite jade and may be from China. It has a hole in its mouth as if it could be stringed. Would like to hear your opinions about it.

Those types of jade commonly have a short looped cord attached they are worn hanging from a loop where it slips into a pocket on robes, belt loop, purses and other objects like smaller ones hanging now from cell phones. I’m not sure about the symbolism of this animal I’ll ask my wife. Hard to tell age I hope for your sake it’s very old, but a warning every gift shop in about every city in China is flooded with modern copies.
