    Hi,
I picked up this pretty tin and trying to find out what it held - candy, cookies or maybe tea? It is 8 1/4" x 5" x 2 3/4", 4 little bun feet. I love the shape of this one. I thought Chinese from the pattern on the sides, but maybe English?
    Any information appreciated
    thanks for looking

    Thanks komokwa and brad!
Yes, this is probably English, Chinese design - could be biscuits.
I was thinking the shape is different so maybe that could be the clue to what was inside - or maybe it doesn't matter and I'm overthinking this. Nice tin though and different than what I usually see. The enamel is in very nice condition.

Typical British biscuit tin, sold filled. They usually have an impressed biscuit brand or makers' name. Yours looks 1930s.
