Featured Chinese sculptures

    Hi friends, Happy to share with you my new acquisition today, Two chinese sculptures made of stone, Really i don't know type of stone, Anyone can help please?

    Alabaster....would be my 1st thought...
    But some type of molded mouldy rock paste glue resin...would be my best guess...

    I thought it was made of jade stone with 3 colors.

    There are a number of places that look like popped air bubbles to me, but I'm not 100% certain. Some spots could be chips...An example of one place: 0_20190406_212550.jpg

    I'm afraid I'm in the resin camp, because of what I see here.

    the thumb nail looks like the barrel of a rifle....and where the light is hot....all kinds rough surface indentation bubbles...

    I agree with Italian resin. This is typical of the Italian 'Chinese' style, long thin figures with lots of draping in the clothing.
    There are many resin blobs in the photo cluttered selected, stone doesn't have that.
    The man is holding a scroll, btw.;)
    There is a market for these decorator items.
