It has all the makings of the real deal. I hope someone has more knowledge about this. Does it look period to the mark?
Chinese pottery is not my normal thing to buy and sell. but this looks the age for sure..

Dunno. I usually rely on people like you for advice on these matters. To me the outline on the decor suggests later. Earlier pieces tend to be without. I've seen a fair few similar on the internet dated to late 19th.

First glance I’d probably think a little later. The faces aren’t great but they are at least all unique which is a good thing. The scenes are so unique and interesting I think that lends credence to being era correct. I don’t think those are scenes they would reproduce on a large scale in all their glory. I thought they were playing a game on the stump at first but they are picking fungi maybe? The tent/hut the lady is in looking out at her man is fantastic. The trees and rocks are great. Shame they didn’t do a little better on the faces but this is a neat piece. Intact too it looks like. Nice score. I don’t see a problem with the date. Edit: I wonder what is happening on the lid? Is that one of her servants with hands on her? That would be odd I’d think.

Maybe talking about the size of the fish he caught yesterday with the other man? "It was this big". The other guy's was even bigger by the looks of it. I dont think he his hand is on her. More like elevated behind her?
