Hello! I am new here and to antiques, and would like to ask for some help. I recently purchased this table from Goodwill to rehab it, but was told I might want to check and see if it’s valuable, bc I’d ruin it if it was. Can someone please take a look and let me know what they think? Thanks!!

It is not a Chippendale period table (18th century). It's actually Queen Anne style but factory made in the mid 20th century in the US when those labels were common. You don't need to worry about ruining its value since its value is as a functional table - so making it functional can only improve it.

It is probably mahogany, so think twice before painting it.
Although brown furniture is not popular at the moment. Everything comes around again. Just might take 20-40 years.

You are right, it’s Mahogany. I’d like to keep it as original as possible & sand/restain it, but am no expert, so thanks for the info!!

It's a 20th century piece, so I'm told a nice refinish won't hurt it. It's a scratched up mess at present, but could be really nice. It looks like it's from back in the 30s to just after WWII. A nice useful hunk of furniture, but probably not worth a ton. @verybrad is the real expert, I know enough to make trouble, but that's probably what he'll say too.

circa 1940. Sort of a Pembroke table but they don't usually have such large leaves and pull-out legs for support. Don't think you can hurt this much so refinish away.
