Chris Bell

I have a pencil drawing by this artist (purchased on Whidby Island, WA if that helps to identify him/her). Any ideas as to other works by him? Value? Age? Cannot find a thing online (other than a current artist on FB who I don't think is old enough). Thank you.

 

Is it done with pencil? Pen and ink?

 

Is it a print by chance?

 

the acid in that mat has leached onto and into the paper killing most of the value that may have had..............imo..

 

Thanks, Komo, yes an acidic paper restoration seems in order. I'm not sure the artist would warrant that expense, but I do like the sketch. @Rosiposey , is this drawn onto illustration board that is slightly warped, or stuck like glued onto a card board? I ask, because if it's just drawn onto a piece of old illustration board, it's not a print, it's an original.

 

Yes it’s a shame about the leaking. I just bought it last weekend in a frame. It’s a pencil drawing taped to that mat.

 

You do know that the frame might help date it which, in turn, might lead someone to identify the artist?
