Picked up this beautiful chun vase. Don't recognize the marks. Do any of you?

    Chun? Like in Jun glaze?
I would think something more recent. A strange piece with that red body. Is that the color of the clay or has some kind of finish applied?

khl889, the mark is reading "Koko", for the potter Ishiguro Koko. There is quite a bit confusion about this mark...

    That's interesting.

I was trying to figure out how that second character, which looks like 二 (the number two) gets pronounced ko, and just came across a site that explains it's not really 二 but an ancient character meaning the first character is repeated. So it's actually 香香.

In modern Chinese, 々 is generally used to repeat a character, so the mark could also be expressed as 香々.
