I bought this recently at auction, it has no frame and measures 66 x 52cm. It came with a post card and I would appreciate your help in identifying the artist and what is happening in the picture, many Main Pic .jpg Main Verso.jpg Postcard with picture front view.jpg Postcard with picture.jpg Detail 1.jpg Detail 2.jpg Detail 3.jpg Detail 4.jpg Deatail 5.jpg Detail 6.jpg thanks

Looks like it's the church in Assissi Italy (Bascilica of Saint Clare) in which the ceremony was photographrf. The postcard was mailed in Italy, giving the destination country as Inglaterra (England in Italian.) The note says the photo from which the painting was done was during "the consecration" a significant portion of the Communion ceremony when the bread and wine are blessed and made holy.

Who the artist was does not appear to be designated on the card.
