Circular Asian Lacquer Box Identification

    hi guys, saw this box. I used to know the name and what they were called with the compartment in the center. Thanks for any help.
    Can anyone tell me the name?.

    I had “pillow box” in my head but I don’t know why so that might mean nothing xD .

    1920-1930's? It's not my field but boxes are and for £8 you can't go wrong. Of course japanese lacquerware but can't say what age or it's use for def :(

    No worries, I have a vague idea and as long as I like it and there not a lot of money involved I don’t mind. I’ll just fill it with antiques anyway xD
