Has anyone come across and porcelain with the 'Classic Bavaria' mark. Also has signature of (assumed) artist, M. Emerine? I have gone down every rabbit hole imaginable, ended up hanging out with Absolem the Caterpillar, still have not found my way out of said rabbit hole, thus I'm here beseeching your assistance! :bookworm:

Included some images. I have tea sets I purchased within the same auction that are also questionably marked Limoges and signed by the same artist. I'm getting the impression either counterfeit or reproduction.

    M. Emerine would have been the decorator and she was likely a hobbyist. That's supported by the fact the same blank can be found with other floral decoration.

You found that on eBay, didn't you? Where was the seller located?

Never mind. Found the listing. Maryland. And there were families with the surname Emerine there, including women whose first names started with the letter "M."

The "Classic" mark is one of the lesser known marks used by Hutschenreuther after 1917. It was used on blank items produced at their subsidiary, the former Paul Müller factory.
