I know some of you helped me with this some years ago, but in the interim, I moved from one room to another, and the notebook with that info (and the info for many other things) was misplaced.
Fidbald had some ideas, but now that I am ready to explore them, I have no idea what he said. :(

    It's a small thing - only about 4.5" tall.
I have sown two photos of the bottom thinking one might be better than the other.
The *stuff* on the body is just very old sticker or tape residue.
I tried to delete the duplicate photo - don't why it won't go away.

The writing looks to me like J M Co, Grossen, Linden.

I *think* the name is of a German city but can not, for the life of me, remember what it was.
    Old age stinks.

Groosen Linden shows up on Google as a place and as a train station.

Ah, so it does! Thank you!
I will see if I can find anything in that direction.

Hi, there seems to have been a ceramic manufacture in Grossen Linden in Hessen, Germany that had that name, Imco Hessische Keramische Industrie GmbH, around 1925-1928.

The manufacturer of the figure in the first link is the same, they changed the name around 1925. I found another source stating that Imco existed from 1926-1930 and was a producer of art pottery.

Between Bob & you, that is the most info I have ever found!
"Thank you" to both of you.
