clear glass butterfly or turtle and ashtray or candy dish

I have a clear glass object that is 5 3/4" in length from the head to the other end x 2"-4" in width from possibly the wings closest of a butterfly or possibly the shell of a turtle from other end to head. The height runs from 3 3/4" to 4" from one end to the head end. I would like to find out whether this is a butterfly or a turtle or something else and its function whether its a cigarette tray or a candy dish like bonbons? I am also looking for information on the company who made it, too? Thank you for your assistance in this request. Rob
