Clicky thing!

    Presuming this is military?. What is it please?. It clicks when you press the white metal bit.

    Not sure but It could be a WW2 clicker? Which were used by allied troops to identify friend or foe.

    Ah how simple and clever!
    Could easily be a repro as it was 50p from a car boot sale!. I buy random things if they interest me and I didn’t know what this was for.

    I believe first party clicked once, second party clicked twice in response, no response meant foe. Mind you that neither party could see the other.

    That's in the movie "The Longest Day" where one guy clicks once and hears two clicks in return and steps out to get shot, because the two clicks were the bad guy working the bolt on his rifle.
